Weekly Event Ideas

Sup everyone it's yer lovable comedy loving pal Steve! Basically everyone has seemed to b a bit quiet and upset lately so i thought that i'd offer up a few suggestions that we could do every week. This is purely based on opinions of the guild so feel free to say aye or nay to them.

Hide and Seek- Guildies will hide randomly throughout the entire maple world on CH17. The seeker is then given one hit by every Person whom is hidden. If you are hiding you MUST stay in that spot until the event is over. The seeker will have exactly one hour to locate the hidden players. Up to 11 people may sign up (1 seeker 10 hiders). The seeker will be chosen randomly by either mont, me, or an available jr. (whomever is on lol) The reward will be given purely on how many hiders the seeker has found. 1-5 = random equip or 1 million mesos (I know t's not alot so sue me :p) 6-10 = free 2x exp buff or 2 random equips as well as 2 mil mesos provided by me. This is only the first of a couple more to come so be expcting alot of funtime! ZK FTW!

I think this is a really good idea, Steve. It sounds a little tough but I think it would be awesome to try! ~Lou

The other issue is the fact we can teleport to each other as well >.<

I think a better idea would be to have a "treasure hunt". Like I give riddles and ppl have 1 hr to find the items related to the riddle and post a screenshot of it on the forum.

For example:

MARCH TREASURE HUNT 1

Find the 5 following items and post a screenshot of them in your inventory here!!!

1) It is Red, possibly slimey and you can THROW it!!!! (Red Snail Shell)
2) This thing is brown and sticky (Tree Branch)
3) When I eat this I feel exactly 1500HP better! (Barbarian Elixer)
4) When I take one of these, this stops me drowning underwater! (Air Bubble, Aqua Road)
5) Certain pandas can be found wearing these, same colour as the item in clue 1!!! (Red Belt from Panda in Mu Lung)

This way ppl can't cheat with /find ....

Seriously, im crap at these things, lemme know what you think.

As for prizes, I'm thinking Super Fame Up or 3 lots of 30 min 2x EXP Party (in which case I would offer the prize to the first 5 ppl to post)

or Fleyz's super special awesome weekly quiz !!!!

Mont's treasure hunt idea is a good spin off, but it will only be successful if the riddles are well thought out and not extremely broad. Such as, I am a red house, but most people ignore me, some noobs throw me, and even bigger noobs sell me for meso, what am I? (red snail shell)

And a second, smaller event such as Fleyz's weekly question thing would help boost forum attendance, although I dislike the thought of both events being some form of trivia.

I was just trying to make Steve's event more feasible, my personal favourite ZK events include:

GPQ Madness: Let's beat guild X, cause guild X are beetches (for any guild X).
BHS Madness: How many bosses can we kill and how fast? Double Pap run followed by Pianus run anyone? IN ONE PARTY DOUBLE DROP

We've done those before though, nevertheless its good fun. For new ideas we could have:

Assault on CKWPQ: Figure out what we need for CWKPQ and help each other level like crazy so we can go! (PQs and party training, no leeching obviously ¬_¬).

Be interesting in any case, I think CWKPQ is a big aim for all of us (cause who the hell doesn't want MoN lol)

Anyway, post away, shoot down my ideas, bring new ones, whatever :D:D

I came up with the idea that we could perhaps host in one area a play or reenactment of any anime, tv show or movie and depending how good it is would be the value of the reward.

Seats for the Theater cost 10k and up to 20 may enter at one time if you happen to dc during the Theater you do not have to pay again.

Rewards host from 250k to 1mil depending on your performance just be sure to tell what it is that you're reenacting.

Hosting areas are: ZK Area (Ch17,fm17) Heny,Amoria, Kerning, Aqua Road, Sharenia (gpq area), Ludibrium, Path of Time (near Pap), Leafre, ToT, Tera Forest, Orbis, Hall of heroes (any class), Rien, Evans farm, Ereve, Lith Harbor, and Sleepywood.

(Hosting this event anywhere other than the stated areas will not count towards the rewards.)

Mont's suggestion of a treasure hunt would be fun so let's set it up sometime.

I think all our ideas need more cowbell.

I think this may be my last event idea. Every week someone (not me cause i don't have a web cam) could make a short video for youtube about anything they can think of.

There are no rewards as it it based purely on enjoyment. Anyone is elligible for parts as auditions will be hosted before the making of the video. Also the length of the video doesn't matter just as long as it's good lol.

Auditions will take place in FM17 ch17 Be sure to see you there.

Does anyone else think that whilst we are in "Exam Mode", it should be "an event" to visit the forum at least once a week?

I hope at least 1 of my event ideas could be used. People are usually pretty quiet mostly from training or selling stuff. We need morale boosted (even if I'm lazy myself :3).

Guess I'll host a scavenger hunt next week. Probably Wednesday or something.
